Dr Olivia Nicoletti joined EUREKA! Venture SGR in December 2020, bringing with her a strong focus on deep tech, technology transfer and early stage investment.
Prior to joining Eureka!, Olivia was Senior Associate with a deep tech focus at Angel CoFund, a £100M generalist VC firm based in Sheffield and London with a strong angel co-investment mandate. Prior to that, Olivia was Commercialisation Manager at Cambridge Enterprise (the technology transfer arm of the University of Cambridge) where she worked across the Technology Transfer and the Seed Funds teams for five years. During this time she helped many academics cross the commercialisation chasm into successful spin outs and significant licensing dealsIn particular, she contributed significantly in the creation, licensing into and funding of companies such as Nu Quantum, Riverlane, Universal Quantum, Flusso, Heliochrome and Sorex Sensors. At Cambridge Enterprise she also helped develop an Associates’ Training Program as well as a more hands-on approach of coaching founders and founding teams. Before joining Cambridge Enterprise Olivia was an editor and a writer for Nature Materials.
Olivia holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge for her work in plasmonic, and the equivalent of a M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Physics from Università Statale di Milano.
Olivia is an active mentor for women in tech, women entrepreneurs and women looking to move into VC. She is actively involved in the Oxford-Cambridge RisingWISE program, in Playfair Capital’s Female Founders Office Hours and active member of the Women in VC global community.
