Alessia Gennaro

Experimental engineer with a solid background and more than 5 years' experience in research. Her research exploited interdisciplinary scientific knowledge and tools with a special focus on material characterization and sensor development.

Alessia Gennaro obtained her Ph.D. degree in Physics at KU Leuven (Belgium) in 2020, where she worked within the Soft Matter and Biophysics section of the Department of Physics and Astronomy. Before joining EUREKA!, she was a former researcher in Materials & Components Analysis group at IMEC (Interuniversity MicroElectronics Center) in Leuven, Belgium, and in Primary Packaging and Device Centre of Expertise at Merck Serono, Rome - Guidonia Montecelio, Italy.

Thanks to her knowledge of metrology, characterization, and analytical techniques, she had the chance to work in different fields from aerospace engineering to medical science. 
Fascinated by Science, and even more with advancements that have a positive impact on society, her vision is to combine scientific knowledge and achievements to improve the quality of life by providing innovative and technological solutions.
