Paolo Guida
Paolo Guida graduated in Economics from Università Luigi Bocconi and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He began his career in strategy consulting, working with Capgemini, Arthur D. Little and Value Partners.
From 2006 to 2008, Paolo served as an Associate in the Financial Advisory Group (FIG) at Lehman Brothers, acting as a strategic advisor on M&A and IPO transactions across Italy, Germany and France. He subsequently moved into private equity as Investment Director at the London-based turnaround fund Privet Capital. After returning to Italy, Paolo developed the Advisory & Principal Investments division at Eidos Capital. His entrepreneurial experience includes being investor and co-founder of Just SPA (successful exit) and investor and co-founder of Taggalo.
In 2017 Paolo was among the earliest investors in Tre Cime Capital Ltd, recognised as the first Search Fund launched in Italy. Over the following years he became known as a serial investor in search funds, actively supporting multiple Search Fund initiatives and contributing to the growth of this model in the Italian private capital ecosystem.
Since 2014, Paolo has also served as Chapter Director of the Milan office of the Chicago Angel Network (CAN), playing a key role in connecting startups and early-stage ventures with angel investors.
In 2018, Paolo joined Blockchain Valley Ventures (BVV), a Switzerland-based venture firm, as Head of Investments. Through BVV and related club deals, he has managed multiple investments in the blockchain, fintech and cybersecurity sectors.
Today, Paolo is recognised not only for his operational and investment leadership in venture and digital assets, but also as a serial investor across search fund vehicles, angel syndicates and tech-oriented investment projects, combining deep sector knowledge with hands-on experience in early-stage and growth investing.
